The 5th Annual Frederick Keys/SunTrust Charity Golf Classic

Former Major Leaguers Dave Machemer, Don Buford, and Tom Trebelhorn, plus Frederick Keys shortstop Joey Hammond, highlighted last year's 5th Annual Frederick Keys-SunTrust Charity Golf Classic.

Last year's classic was held on Monday, July 31st, 2000 at Westwinds Golf Course in New Market, MD.  Current Keys players, former Orioles, Keys sponsors, and other special guests all be participated in this year's event.  Proceeds will benefit Joel's Kids.

The event featured a continental breakfast hosted by Days Inn of Frederick, a Hole-N-One contest sponsored by Don Phillips Jeep-KIA, and a post-event cookout at the West Winds Pavilion, compliments of Outback Steakhouse.

The title sponsor for this year's event is SunTrust (formerly Crestar), which has made a major commitment with the Keys to help make "Joel's Kids" a reality.  In addition, SunTrust has donated $50.00 for every home run the Frederick Keys hit at Harry Grove Stadium this season.
