The photo above is of Ron and Joyce Stephens receiving a lettered Mighty Bears game jersey from the Challenger Little League of Frederick County (MD), that was purchased through the Joel's Kids grant in 2002-2003. Each jersey included a Joel's Kids patch that each team member wore during this past Challenger LL baseball season. The back of the jersey includes Joel Stephens' name and the number he wore while he was attempting his comeback with the Keys during the late spring of 1998. Presnting the jersey is Mark Zeigler, who established Joel's Kids in younger Stephens' memory in 1999.
