How You Can Donate
We are grateful to everyone who has generously donated to the Joel A. Stephens Memorial Fund. If you would like to support the Joel’s Kids team you may do so through the Community Foundation of Frederick County
cffredco.org as well as through your United Way contribution.
On August 30, 2008 an on-field pre-game ceremony was
held at Harry Grove Stadium where a check for $6500 was
presented for Joel’s Kids as a result of proceeds from
the 13th Annual Frederick Keys/SunTrust Charity Golf
Classic. Pictured are representatives of this year’s
grant winner, Big Brothers Big Sisters as well as Andy
Carpel from the Community Foundation, Sue Mathurin from
SunTrust and Dave Ziedelis from the Frederick Keys.

Also before the game on August 30, Andy Carpel, Chairman
of the Board of Trustees for the Community Foundation of
Frederick County, accepted a check for $5,000 to benefit
Joel’s Kids as a result of the “K’s for Kids”
season-long program at Harry Grove Stadium where $10 was
donated by CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield every time a
Keys pitcher struck out a player from the opposing team.
